How far in advance should I book my event?
Richard takes bookings up to 18 months in advance with a deposit.
It is best to book the event when you know the exact date.
If the event is far away but you know the exact date and NOT the exact time, then you will need to decide if the event is going to be in the morning (8am-12pm), the afternoon (12mp-4pm), the evening (4pm-8pm) or a night (8pm-12am).
What is the deposit?
The deposit is half of the total fee.
The deposit must be paid in order to hold the date and time of the event.
Is the deposit refundable?
Yes. The deposit is refundable up to 72 hours after it is paid. After that it is non-refundable.
The deposit WILL roll into the total fee for the event.
What do I do if I have to cancel or change the date?
If Richard’s services are canceled after the 72 hour grace period, the deposit will be forfeited.
You may reschedule the event once without paying any additional fees.
A rescheduling fee will be required if the event is rescheduled more than once.
Is there an exception for rescheduling an event if the event is far out on the calendar?
Yes, there is an exception for events that are scheduled 9 months in advance or more.
It would be preferable if the event is 9 months out or more for you to choose two alternative dates. You WILL NOT be charged any additional fees if the event date needs to change to one of the alternative dates.
You will be notified if another client wishes to schedule an event on an alternative date and you will be given the option to choose one more alternative date.
The alternative dates only apply if the event is schedule 9 months out or more. Once we are within 9 months of the scheduled date of the event, rescheduling fees may apply if the event needs to be rescheduled.
You WILL receive a curtesy call confirming the event date once we have cleared the 9 month mark.

There are no prices because every event is different. Richard customizes his services to your needs.

Richard charges per event, NOT per hour. He looks at when you want to have your event, how long would you like for him to be at the event, what sort of prep work will go into making your event successful and so on.

Yes. Payment plans sound horrible, but they are there so you can afford the best quality while on a budget.

Yes. That is part of the 3 quotes Richard will provide during the consultation.
Doesn’t this sound like a lot for someone to come and show some magic tricks for a couple of hours?
Not at all. The process for hiring a magician is no different than hiring the photographer, florist or caterer. They all provide an essential service for the event. The process is for your benefit.
Imagine hiring someone to make the wedding cake without a consultation!
